SPRING FLING- Saturday, April 18, 5 p.m.-9 p.m.
Dust off your cowboy boots, saddle up your horses and mosey on down to Christ Church Riverdale Spring Fling with a Western Theme.  There will be square dancing, line dancing, a western buffet and prizes to be won.
So plan on having a great time at our Spring Fund Raiser.  Watch for additional details.
This year marks the third year of our five year commitment to support the education of the AIDS orphans of Idifu, Tanzania.  This is a very meaningful relationship which has made a positive change in the lives of the children of one village.
If you have made a pledge, to support a child's education, please write your check for $ 70 and mark it "Carpenter's Kids" and put it in the plate.
The church must make a payment for the coming school year in March to cover the uniform and book expenses for the coming school year.
Thank you for your support of this very worthwhile project.
If you have any questions please contact John Mueser.
Interfaith Declaration on Climate Change:  "We recognize that climate change is not merely an economic or technical problem, but rather at its core is a moral, spiritual and cultural one." How do we make real change in our lives, as individuals and as a community? Green Tip--This Lent, consider a "carbon fast".  You can sign up for daily email suggestions at the website below.  Each message has a short reflection and an action to take as an individual or community.
Saturday, April 11, 11 a.m.- 2p.m.
The Outreach and Social Justice Committee invite you to join them for a day "on the farm" in Canaan, NY learning about maple syrup production.  The young men and boys on the farm are city kids who have made bad choices in the past and are learning a new way of life.  Our visit could lead to an ongoing partnership with Burnham Brotherhood,  one of Berkshire's programs.
Please contact Kathy Valyi or Marcia Callender by March 17 if you have questions or are interested in participating.

The Kingsbridge, Riverdale, Marble Hill Food Bank is in need of donations. Please bring canned or boxed foods which have not expired and are not perishable on any Sunday.  They may be left in the basket at the back of the church or in the basket in the parish hall.  There are many unemployed and underemployed families depending on this Food Pantry.  Contact coordinator, Anita Dutt for additional ways you can help.
