Amay Fraser, a longtime member of Christ Church Riverdale and a faithful member of the Choir, the Altar Guild and ECW passed away today.  Her wake will be at the Williams Funeral Home.  The viewings will be on Wed.,

April 24, 2 pm. – 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. - 9 p.m. There will be a Prayer Service at

7 p.m.  A Memorial Service will be held at Christ Church Riverdale on Sat.,

April 27 at 11 a.m.

Holy Eucharist- Wed. April 24, 11:00 a.m. in the Church.

Great Music at Christ Church – Malinda Haslett, Sat., April 27, 7:30 p.m.

Renowned vocalist, Malinda Haslett, will present a mixed program of operatic and classical pieces.  She has performed on the New York stage at Lincoln Center and around the world.  We are pleased to have her here with us for a solo performance at Christ Church.  Tickets are available online at christchurchriverdale.org. and will also be available at the door.

Search Committee - Sun., May 5, after each service

The Search Committee will report back to the congregation regarding their findings from the first set of group discussions.  The committee will also entertain questions from the congregation regarding their findings and the process in general. 

Adult Confirmation Class-  5 Tuesdays beginning May 7, 7 p.m.- 8:30 p.m.

Father Patrick will lead an Adult Confirmation class for those who would like to be confirmed or received in the Episcopal Church.  Individuals will be confirmed or received on Sun., June 16 by the Right Reverend Geralyn Wolf, the retired Bishop of Rhode Island who is currently assisting in the Diocese of New York.

Great Music at Christ Church- New York Polyphony, Sat., May 11, 7:30 p.m.

This group has exploded onto the musical scene worldwide bringing new life to the world of a cappella singing. They have a cohesive and haunting sound.  You will be absolutely enthralled by the music you hear from these four men. Tickets are available online at christchurchriverdale.org. and will also be available at the door.

International Dinner- Sat., May 18, 6 p.m.

This annual celebration honors the many cultures and traditions which make up the Christ Church Riverdale family.  Everyone is invited to bring a dish from his/her cultural experience.  Start going through those recipe books now! 

Please feel free to invite friends and relatives.   The sign up sheet is on the Welcome Table.

The Feast of Pentecost- Sun, May 19

As is our tradition at Christ Church Riverdale, a portion of our service on Pentecost will be done in a number of languages which represent the rich diversity of our congregation.  In the past we have included readings in Spanish, French, German, Dutch, Russian, Mandarin, Korean, Tagalog, Igbo and Swahili. 

If you would like to be a part of this service and read in your native “tongue”, please contact Father Patrick.

The Sacrament of Holy Baptism- Sun., May 19, 11 a.m.

The Sacrament of Holy Baptism will be celebrated on the Feast of Pentecost.

Feeding the Hungry-

Please remember that canned or boxed food for the Kingsbridge, Riverdale, Marble Hill Food Bank may be brought any week.  There are a number of very needy families in these neighboring communities who are dependent on this Food Bank to feed their families
