Idifu <-> Christ Church, Riverdale and Mediator
Hello friends of Christ
Church Riverdale. We have a lot of thanks for receiving greetings and
introduction to your Sunday school children on the bulletin board.
The majority of Idifu parish people are farmers so their economic status
depends on rainfall but this year we have had little rainfall, which has
caused the people to be unable to harvest anything from their farms.
This year many people are lacking food and business crops, so this
situation has caused famine to our people.We would like to inform you
and please our friends, pray for us in this difficult period of
suffering from famine.
The famine is a name which is easy to pronounce; but oh, a very
frightening name and a very fearsome man eater. Once laughter filled the
households but when the famine enters has turned the laughter to pain.
Therefore the entrance of famine changed the plans in our parish,
because these depend on contributions from the parish people.
This year we had plans to do the following :
Flooring our main church, building a new church, buying benches for our
churches, building a block for pre-primary school. But now we have
failed to achieve plans so please our friends pray for us because
anything in the name of our Lord is possible.
The parish of Christ Church Riverdale is always in our prayers

in New York. To our Idifu parish we are glad to send our x-mas greeting
and challenges which are facing us.
Our greeting is that "x-mas is a wonderful day, to pray, to love, to
care, to smile, to relax and thank God for all he gave us and our
family, so we are all ready to allow Jesus' birth in our heart.
Our preparation to enter in x-mas day we are facing the following
challenges:
A lot of people want to pray on this day but our churches cannot afford
to accommodate all Christian because are small and haven't benches for
Christian to sit for hearing the word of god. That situation causes
Christian to pray out of the churches. Also in our parish Christians
they have motivation of preaching the word of god in our parish even out
of our parish but communication system, transport, economic status,
famine, luck of modern instruments for colors singer are hindering the
Christian to preach.
After getting link parish in New York which help the kids in education,
health, and food, the children who are getting that help have improved
attendance in school and church. Also the kids discovered that god helps
all people without segregation of colour, wealth, age, tribe, country or
continent because they have gotten help that simplified their life.
After getting school instruments and nets the kids send their thanks and
pray all time for you our friends. Apart from that the kids promise to
pray hard and to study hard in order to achieve success and have been
happy to get success through church.
The parents of these kids were not attending to the churches but now
they attending to church and pray to the people who helped their kids
and call them kind and wonderful people because they help kids whose
face they don't know but only hear news through written words. lastly
they send a lot of thanks and merry x-mas to Christ Church, Riverdale
and Mediator, Bronx Christians .
Happy new year 2009 with success
The carpenters kids of Idifu
parish are very happy because they continue getting help from their
friends. The children who the carpenter's kids programme sponsored send
thanks to their friends at Christ Church, Riverdale and Mediator, Bronx
of U. S. A. for receiving success in education and health . When the
supervisor of that programme visited the carpenters kids at Idifu parish
the children told him to send our thanks to our friends. They told him
that the carpenters kids of Idifu parish always pray to their friends,
god bless them in their works and his family too.
Also the children expressed how they got many advantages from the
programme. They said that before entering to the programme there are
many problems which faced the children like lack of food , lack of study
materials which make them to have bad attendance to school, but now
these problems are disappearing because of grace from god who appointed
the friends to help them.
The children promise to their friends that they will study hard in order
meet the success by using education

hallow our u. s. a parish friend
after introduced to you
we would like to express the real situation of our churches but one
church is permanent and the rest are temporary because it was build
by soil wall and roofing by barks of trees; grasses and soil. also
those seven churches have not furniture like chairs; benches ad
tables. that is why the attendance of Christians very low. we have
three thousand two hundred and nine Christians. among those who
attending in churches is one thousand three hundred and forty two
Christians.
apart from that situation the parish planning to organize the
Christians to contribute their wisdom and money in order to build
the modern church and buying furniture for the churches to perform
good attendance in our churches.
the parish all time it pray for success and continue to plan project
for future. also parish planning to perform in education by having
pre primary schools primary school; and secondary school in our
parish. for the start we have small pre primary school at St.
Barnabas church; why we call it small because it hasn't good
studying environment and teaching/learning materials such as
buildings, books and library.
the parish planning on the coming days to build good classes,
library and buying books for all primary and secondary education for
self study to our parish member. that is our few dreams but we
continue to promise you friend parish and we are waiting a lot to
hear from your parish. you just wait from our parish the following
the map of our parish; future vision of our parish.

We are very happy to say
thank you and to introduce our parish. Our parish called Idifu which
is in Dodoma region, Chamwino district and ward Idifu. Our parish
have seven churches. There is one permanent church and six churches
are not permanent. The distance from Idifu to Dodoma centre is
approximately 40 km.
We are very interesting to communicate with our friend parish in U.
S. A because these situation giving us more knowledge to know how we
are together.
Also we want to say our village have four thousands people among
those three thousands are people who are able to do a work and one
thousand is for elder and children.
Apart from that our village have two primary schools and one
secondary school. Average of pupils who pass examination in a year
is twenty percent this is because of environmental problems
The villagers in Idifu were very happy for gift of school uniform
which are used with our children in school project, we say thank
you.
Next period we expect to give you the following, Map of Idifu
Parish, The number of Christian in our Parish and Program we are
planning in our parish.
We will be very happy if you will inform us about your Parish and
